After doing some more market research, Marihart Audio will be scaling back its retail operations. I will be selling off all of my demo gear over the next 6 months and pulling pretty much out of retail. I can still order gear in for customers, but I will not stock any demo gear anymore except for my main system. I will continue to offer the Fieckert analysis for my customers on their turntables, and I will continue to do ‘table servicing on all types, esp. Linns. I am also available for consulting work at your residence should you need it.
I want to thank everyone that has supported us for the last 6.5 years, and I will continue to support you although in a more limited fashion.
We are having the first annual Christmas Party at Keith Mundy’s house on Dec 8, 2012 at 12 noon. Craig Mundy’s famous Tacos are on the menu, great music in Keith’s sound room, and a gathering area for chit-chat is on the schedule. Guys bring your significant others, and that goes for the girls too. Nonmembers are invited. You can bring food to share, and we do ask you bring BYOB for alcohol. The club will be helping to provide drinks (sodas, water), dessert, and appetizers. Keith’s system will be augmented by Kent Gaush’s equipment, and an integrated by Exemplar Audio provided by Dave Marihart.
Keith’s address is 778 Perkins Way, Sacramento, CA, 95818. Phone is 916 416-5638. RSVP is required and please give at least 3 days notice.
See you there!!!
We are now the proud representatives for Triplanar tonearms and Feickert Analog turntables and software. We have also added the most current Transfiguration Phoenix cartridge to our demo line. We have received the Triplanar Mark VII Ultimate and will be mounting the Phoenix. Both will be showcased on the Feickert Blackbird dual motor turntable with the optional Delrin platter. This turntable was the quietest and most accurate I heard at RMAF. It was also featured in 5 rooms at CES. It is capable of mounting 2 tonearms with the capability of interchanging the arms in 5-10 minutes. For more information go to http://www.triplanar.com/ for the Triplanar and http://www.feickert.de/engl/lw_blackbird.html for the Feickert. Reviews can be had at both sites. We are the only Northern California dealers for these products.
We will be having our meeting on March 10, 2012, at Audio Experience at 1 PM. We have open topics-anyone who wants to talk can on any topic pertaining to audio. Also we have a lot of new toys at the shop-namely the Feickert Blackbird turntable with the Triplanar tonearm and Transfiguration Phoenix cartridge. Also we may see the Light harmonic da Vinci DAC. Hope to see you there. Address is 1120 Douglas Blvd., Suite B, Roseville, CA.
Got the new Audioengine 5+ speakers in and they are now breaking in on Airport Express. 20W minimum RMS /channel more power (50 W/ch, 125 W peak) and they come with a remote control now.
Got in a new shipment of Panamax surge and line conditioners: M8-AV and M8-AV Pro. Not only surge protection but over/under voltage protection as well, and series filters on the Pro version.
Also have the Oppo BDP 93 and 95 in stock. I have limited backstock of the 93, and a 95 to demo. I can get these within 2 days if I am out, but I try to stock these items.
Audioengine 5 speakers in black are on sale-limited to stock on hand. Now $299.00 rather than $349.00. Only have 2 pairs left so get them soon.
Have a Sumo amp, an Adcom amp, some Healthkit Pro Audio speakers, Alesis powered speakers with data link, Acurus phonostage, Exactpower conditioner, and much more.
Our home theater room features a Marantz 8002 receiver, an Oppo BDP-83 blue ray player, a Sony Trinitron 720 P LCD monitor, all LSA Surround system with Standard LSA rear on walls, LSA2 Signature Speakers, and an LSA Statement center channel, an HD Directv receiver, and a Revel BP 120 Subwoofer. Cabling by MIT. Very musical and analog sounding with great color. The visual display was tuned by Brian Wharton, an expert in tuning theaters and high end home theater systems. This system is by appointment only as my wife rarely lets me play with it.
